Joshua Dennis BE Eng (Civil)
CEO & Founder
With two decades of experience as a civil and structural engineer, Joshua has been the driving force behind the CannaPacific team. Josh has a wealth of knowledge in the cannabis industry and has been instrumental in developing partnerships in Australia and abroad.
Providing planning and project management, Josh has overseen the project management and construction of many thousands of buildings and developments throughout Australia and South East Asia.
Last financial year Joshua delivered over 700 projects with a construction value of over $800 million dollars.
Peter Gunning BComm, CPA, GAICD
As a senior business leader for over 20 years Peter has spent the majority of his career in senior 'C suite' roles including as VP and regional CFO of major FMCG companies including Mars Petcare, Chocolate and Food and Beam Suntory beverages and more recently as Managing Director for the Oceania region with Beam Suntory and Group CFO and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the leading healthcare player GenesisCare.
Peter has outstanding commercial acumen and a strong Asia Pacific perspective having built his career in Australia and then lived abroad in Japan and Singapore for 7 years from 2007. He is a trusted business adviser who has a balanced, strategic approach to driving growth and cost leadership in complex organisational environments.
His key strengths are his drive for results and ability to build and lead highly effective teams across cultural and geographic divides. He is well known for his collaborative, inclusive style enabling breakthrough solutions to complex challenges.
Peter graduated from the Australian National University in 1990 and is a Certified Practicing Accounting (CPA) having been a member since 1995. Peter is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), the leading organisation in Australia providing leadership on director issues and promoting excellence in governance.
Dr Michael Fay (MBBS, FRANZCR, RACP)
Chief Medical Officer & Director CMO
Dr Fay is a dual trained Medical and Radiation Oncologist who specialises in neuro-oncology, stereotactic radiosurgery, thoracic and gastrointestinal oncology. He completed his undergraduate degree of Medicine and Surgery at University of Otago 1993 and is currently completing his PhD on integrating advanced imagery into brain tumour treatment.
Dr Fay has carried out extensive research with a particular focus on brain tumours and the development of new imaging and treatment techniques and is the principal investigator in a number of international cancer trials and collaborations with Canada, the UK and Germany. His research spans across several modalities including PET imagery, MRI imaging and developing multiplexed neuro-imaging techniques. Mike is a lead researcher in an NCIC trial into brain tumour treatment in elderly patients. A current research project centres on developing a new PET tracer for use in brain tumours.
Dr Fay has published extensively on both lung and neuro-oncology and alongside his commitment to research, he is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle. He is also an active member of ASCO, ASTRO and COGNO and on the editorial board of The Journal of Translational Lung Cancer Research.
Director of Manufacturing & Research
Tim heads up the manufacturing and operations of CannaPacific. Drawing on his wealth of knowledge in the pharmaceutical industry and with controlled substance manufacturing.
Tim Bowser retired in July from his recent role as the Head of Australian Operations and R&D for Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Australia’s Controlled Substances Division.
Tim has over 35 years of professional experience included over 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry including working in diverse roles as Site Director for Sun Pharma’s Controlled Substances manufacturing facility in Victoria as well as in Business Development, Operations and Quality. During his career Tim has lead a major capital expansion programs of over A$70million including a Fine Chemicals manufacturing plant (Finalist Australian Engineering Excellence Awards) and A$20million Natural product extraction facility. In the past 2 years he recently completed a stint as an Industrial Placement Fellow at the University of York overseeing a range of new technology projects applying Molecular biology and genetics to plant breeding for High Value Chemicals from Plants, large scale extraction technology as well as applications of Industrial Biotechnology in pharmaceutical actives manufacture.
Dr Erica Cameron-Taylor (BA, B.Med, FRACGP, FaCHPM)
Head of Clinical Coordination
Dr Cameron-Taylor is a Palliative Medicine Specialist with a particular interest in supportive oncology practice, aged care and medical education. Her key focus is multidisciplinary health professional and community-based education to optimise the delivery of patient-focussed, holistic care. After working in the media and arts she completed her medical degree at the University of Newcastle in 2001. Subsequently she undertook several years of General Medicine and Emergency Medicine training whilst raising her family before completing training in General Practice in 2008 and Advanced Training in Palliative Medicine in 2011.
Erica has been a Staff Specialist in Palliative Medicine for more than a decade and continues to practice clinically in both the public and private health systems. She is a conjoint lecturer and the lead educator for the Palliative Care curriculum at The University of Newcastle and has an active role in community outreach education activities, junior doctor training and continuing medical education.
Dr Cameron-Taylor contributed to the Facing End of Life manual for the Cancer Council and her book The Palliative Approach: A Resource Book for Healthcare Workers is utilised as a key resource for several allied health, nursing and undergraduate medical courses in Australia, the Middle East and the United Kingdom. She has been actively involved in key cannabis research, including as lead site investigator, for both the PaCCSC and ImPaCCT clinical studies collaboratives.
